Our Story

We Are “To Aithrion”

Welcome to To Aithrion — a restored historic courtyard restaurant in the centre of Larnaca where warm Cypriot hospitality, seasonal Mediterranean flavors and live cultural nights meet under the open sky.

A courtyard where neighbours meet, where songs are shared, and where simple, honest cooking is served with care.

The building that houses To Aithrion dates back to the 1700s. For centuries it has been part of Larnaca’s living fabric — once an inn for travelers arriving at the port, later a gathering place for the local community, and most recently lovingly restored into the welcoming restaurant you sit in today.
We opened To Aithrion to honour the spirit of that place: a courtyard where neighbours meet, where songs are shared, and where simple, honest cooking is served with care.
About

What We Do

At To Aithrion we celebrate the food and hospitality of Cyprus with a modern touch. Our kitchen focuses on:

  • Seasonal Mediterranean & Cypriot dishes made from locally sourced ingredients.

  • Brunchs and breakfasts with local twists (halloumi, lountza, traditional breads).

  • Grilled & barbecue specialties, hearty meze and vegetarian options.

  • Desserts and small plates inspired by island recipes.

We serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner — each meal framed by the courtyard’s atmosphere and, on many nights, live traditional music.

About

The Courtyard

One of the things people love most about To Aithrion is our courtyard — an intimate, open‑air heart where we hold live music nights, full‑moon poetry evenings, seasonal celebrations and community fundraisers. Follow our socials for the calendar of upcoming events or call us to reserve for a special night.
About

The Community

We partner with local charities, cultural festivals and artists to keep the courtyard alive as a place for community good. Past events have included brunch fundraisers, concerts for causes and evenings organized with the Larnaca poetry and music community.
